This year's general meeting of the NeXt group took place on November 25th, 2025 in Ratingen / Germany and online.
The members were informed about the financial situation and were given a review of the activities of the past financial year.
The newly elected board consists of Stefan Windeck (aufzug management windeck amw), Jörg Hellmich (ELFIN Technology), Devrim Gecegezer (Genemek) and David Wallen (Hydroware).
After the budget for 2026 was approved, the future technical orientation and marketing activities were the focus of discussion. The members voted for the publication of the standard 'NXg-003 - CANopen-Lift Connector' as a draft standard. We will publish it unter a free licence in the coming weeks. At the same time, further standards for the networking of elevators and SIP telephones are to be developed within the NeXt group.
Attendees will continue discussions with component manufacturers, elevator companies and operators to share open standards for elevators and escalators.
